President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil has announced she will be at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this month (January). The international body, consisting of major entrepreneurs and banking officials, will gather in the famous ski resort of Davos and it’s the first time ‘Dilma’ herself has actually attended.
She usually sends her Finance Minister, Guido Mantega. However on this occasion the President wants to be there in person to give extra impetus to the Brazilian message to the world. It’s simply that international Finance and investors can and should have confidence in the her national government and its handling of the domestic economy.
